Conference news: Romania
We recently had the honour of being invited to present at the 5th RO-HU ELT Regional Conference at the Partium Christian University in Oradea, Romania.
On Saturday 20th September, 120 ELT teachers from Hungary and Romania assembled to take part in two days of plenary talks and workshops focused on English teaching and practice.
The underlying themes of the weekend were ‘Writing’ and ‘Cambridge English exams’, with interesting and engaging presentations from Jim Fuller and Aniella Giorgiana Busila (Cambridge University Press & Assessment), Stefania Ballotto (Pilgrims) and Nadia Theochari (MM Publications). Prosperity Education founder, Tom O’Reilly, spoke about the process of assessment-writing and gave a live demo of our new AI-grading exam-practice platform Prosperity English; on Day 2, Margaret Cooze, author of our Cambridge Writing Masterclass series, gave workshops on ‘How to Utilise the Cambridge Mark Scheme in the Classroom’.
Our hosts, Eurolingva, provided us with the warmest of welcomes, as did the truly beautiful city of Oradea. We are looking forward already to our next trip to Romania!
Multumesc!
