Conference news: Mexico

We recently had the honour of being invited to present at the Learning Hub 2025 Conference in León, Mexico.

On Saturday 1st March, several hundred ELT teachers from Central America assembled to take part in a packed day of plenary talks and workshops focused on English teaching and practice.

The underlying themes of the event were literacy, engagement and assessment, with interesting and thought-provoking presentations from Gloria Bohorquez (Alpha Publishing), Soo Kim and Joseph Hills (e-future) and André Hedlund (ELi Publishing). Margaret Cooze, author of our Cambridge Writing Masterclass series, presented a practical session on ‘How to Utilise the Cambridge Mark Scheme in the Classroom’.

Our hosts, Educalibros, produced an impressively large event from which all delegates benefitted. It was wonderful to see such enthusiasm shown to Margaret, whose workshop provided useful strategies for teachers preparing candidates for Cambridge writing examinations.

Hasta que nos volvamos a encontrar…!
